Sunday, the day of rest, consisted of waking up at half two, making a fry up at half three, going to Spoons for beer & a burger and a pub quiz at 7, and sometime in between I managed to capture the last bits of footage that I filmed before moving here. The resulting video only contains Smither not landing tricks and making excuses:
“Back Heel for a KFC”

Tuesday, 14th July 2009 at 7:11 pmI’ve had the same trucks for about six years now that were originally given two me by a mate, and after bits started breaking I used old parts to keep them together. Today they consist of a Krux baseplate, Grind King kingpin, Venture bushings and a Venture hanger, and have seen better days to say the least:

After snapping my board on Thursday I decided it was a good time to treat myself with the first new pair of trucks I’ve ever bought, as well as a nice new Heroin deck:

Smither and I then proceeded to Emsworth, where we managed to film this before the camera’s battery died after sitting in the boot of the car for god knows how long:
Yesterday I received a text from a mate saying that their Global ticket had arrived (which I was buying from them) and if I could pop round with the £115 for it. I knew that I had spent a bit too much money the past few weeks but I though I could just about afford to pay them. I checked my statement on the net quickly and was devastated when I saw that this was my balance just over a month ago:

And this is what it said today:

And I’ve been paid four times since then, so I’ve spent just under a grand in a month and have almost nothing to show for it. Not stoked! Especially as I now owe my mate £115 for the Global ticket which is under two weeks away, and I have to save up for Amsterdam as well which is a month away. So tonight I’m driving to a mate’s house keeping the car under two and a half thousand revs (which is a lot harder than it seems) and just chilling with whatever beers are on offer at Tesco and hope that I get paid at midnight tonight, not tomorrow.
Good Times.
Monday, 8th June 2009 at 10:42 pmLooking good for IOW Fest:

Cam’s sorting me out so well. The person who gave him the two tickets for his birthday owns a boat, so instead of queuing for a cramped ferry we’re just gonna jump on the boat with an on-board fridge & Xbox 360, stop off at a load of pubs on the way that are accessible by water and then instead of using dirty festival toilets & showers we can just go back to the boat and not catch 100 diseases. Definitely getting excited!
I’ve just found a load of random photos that I’ve taken on my computer that no one’s seen so I might whack one up every day, then at least I’ll have some of my own content on here for a change!
We’ve just eaten our own weight in cream cakes in ASDA car park, followed by a chocolate sundae eaten with a lighter as there were no spoons to hand. Smither’s making a fag then suddenly goes “wait, let me in the boot!”, rummages around for a minute then goes “look what I made when I was bored in art today” and pulls out this roach-less four rizla long rollie that took him the whole half hour drive home to smoke. He’s a nutter:

This was back in February, when I still skated!
Emsworth Skatepark 2006 – 2009
Friday, 1st May 2009 at 6:25 pmHere we go lads, a nice new/old edit for the bank holiday weekend. All the worthwhile footage we’ve gathered at the local between Summer 2006 and Spring 2009:
“Smither’s Such a Cunt”
Sunday, 19th April 2009 at 6:09 pmSorry, haven’t been around all weekend and don’t have anything new to post so here’s Smither bailing a line in what looks like last autumn.
Also thanks to everyone who voted 6:57 for the “Something For The Weekend” link I posted a few days ago; they came first in every category. Well done lads!
WMUT Trailer!
Monday, 6th April 2009 at 11:58 pmHere’s the trailer to my final major college project entitled “What Makes Us Tick”.
“A documentary about British skateboarding aimed at people who do not skateboard themselves, as to give them an insight into the somewhat alien subject”
Watch in high quality, turn it up and get hyped:
I thought that it would take me 10 minutes to get that online today after work, instead it has taken almost five hours due to QuickTime not doing what it’s supposed to, Squeeze deciding it doesn’t actually like any format of video anymore, and YouTube failing the upload for god knows what reason. So unfortunately I don’t have enough time to post up the other content that I had planned to tonight, and I’ve now got to work first thing tomorrow morning as well, stoked.
